Water Day
On Monday 27th June, BIS held its first Water Day.
The students and teachers enjoyed a day of fun and activities with water. The weather has been getting hotter and hotter and what better way to cool off, have some fun with friends, and celebrate the coming end of the academic school year? Throw water at each other and the teachers!!
A huge thank you to the team who helped organise and run the event. We has a super soaked day!

WOW! The BIS water day 2022 was a huge success. Both the students and the teachers had lots of fun at this exciting end of year event.
The event was fantastic and the students particularly enjoyed the throwing sponges at Mr. Tim! Thank you Mr. Tim for being a good sport. The students also enjoyed taking part in water fights with their friends and teachers and the event finished with pizza for all students. During the event, the students were able to take part in amazing games and activities organised by the wonderful Ms. Vicky and Mr. Lucas.
This event was a highlight of the year for the students, and is something for them to remember. Thank you to all the staff for helping and a huge thank you to Mr. Ray who helped to set up, organise and pack down the event.

Pirate Birthday Party
Ahoy There Me Hearty's and Shiver Me Timbers!
We had a giant Pirate Birthday Party to end the wonderful year we have had in Reception. We had a wonderful day dressing up, playing, singing and dancing as Pirates do.
We went on a wonderful adventure with Years 4 and 5. They creating an amazing treasure hunt for us. They made us treasure maps and sets of clues for us to follow. They even made us each a Pirate Hat and our very own Pet Parrots to take with us on our journey.
We buddied up with our older partners and set off on our Pirate Quest, listening to each clue, we exploring the whole school as we search for our Pirate Booty.
We found a hoard of Golden Pirate Coins hidden where X marked the spot.
What a wonderful day with lots of lovely memories. Made all the better when it was followed by some yummy Birthday Cake. Happy Birthday to our June Birthday Boy.
Gratitude Activity
On Tuesday, Year 4 and 5 wanted to show their appreciation to some of our school staff as part of their 'gratitude attitude' initiative. The students chose staff members who they thought had gone above and beyond and created cards for them. They then visited the staff members and gave them their card and gift, explaining why they had chosen them and the work they appreciated. The students tried to choose staff members who might be overlooked but make a big contribution to the school. Year 4 and 5 enjoyed making the staff members smile and bringing joy to their day.
