In this 2024 edition, the 1st place went to green team, the 2nd place was for blue team, 3rd place went to red team and the 4th place was for yellow team....positions were determined by the points achieved in various sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball and volleyball.
All students have had a great performance, being respectful of their opponents, playing fairly and having a good attitude and sportsmanship. This is why we are so proud and congratulate each and every student. On the other hand, Mr. Mark awarded a consolation prize to the primary school team ranked 4th, yellow team, and they got medals for their effort and commitment .
So we closed the 2024 edition of BIS Sports Day with joy and deep gratitude to all those who participated and collaborated to ensure that this important event for students took place success. We look forward to another great sports day next year!
Adventures with Year 6!
Written by Jason, April 2024.
On April 17th, the students in Year 6 embarked on an exciting field trip to Play Fun Bear Valley in Panyu District, Guangzhou. The excitement level of students was enormous as they counted the days off until they could depart from BIS. This field trip was enriching as we participated in hands-on activities such as learning how to plant small plants, making a campfire, barbequing marshmallows, pounding rice to make a rice cake mixture, doing archery, feeding farm animals and kayaking.
However, the highlight of the day was kayaking! The students had so much fun doing this activity and for that reason I couldn’t resist the temptation of joining them. We splashed each other with water, laughed and made lifelong memories together.
The Year 6 students could also explore and interact with different environments which enabled them to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world situations. They improved their collaboration skills, developed leadership skills, and practiced problem-solving. Furthermore, this experience created life-long memories that Year 6 students could treasure for years to come!
