Cambridge Primary starts learners on an exciting educational journey. For 5 to 11 year olds, it provides a strong foundation for students at the beginning of their schooling before progressing through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way.
By offering Cambridge Primary, BIS provides a broad and balanced education fo students, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, work and life. With ten subjects to choose from, including English, mathematics and science, the students will find plenty of opportunities to develop creativity, expression and wellbeing in a variety of ways.
The curriculum is flexible, so BIS shape it around how and what the students will learn. Subjects can be offered in any combination and adapted to students'context, culture and school ethos.

Accurately measuring a student's potential and progress can transform learning and help teachers make informed decisions about individual students, their educational needs and where to focus teachers'teaching efforts.
BIS use the Cambridge Primary testing structure to assess student performance and report progress to students and parents. Our assessments are flexible, so we use them in the combination to suit students'need.
For example, our Cambridge Primary English subject encourages a life-long enthusiasm for reading, writing and spoken communication. Students develop English skills for different purposes and audiences. This subject is for students who have English as a first language, and can be used in any cultural context.
Students develop skills and understanding in four areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening. They will learn how to communicate effectively and respond to a range of information, media and texts to:
1. become confident communicators, able to apply all four skills effectively in everyday situations
2. see themselves as readers, engaging with a range of texts for information and for pleasure, including texts from different times and cultures
3. see themselves as writers, using the written word clearly and creatively for a range of different audiences and purposes.
